im a right brainer!

i really am enjoying what im studying :)
Other than the drawing lessons and art history classes, i also enjoy the compulsory modules like critical perspectives and education psychology. So grateful to God!

Recently we are learning about how our left and right brain work. Do you know that our brain consist of the left and right hemisphere that works extremely different from each other and not only so, there's this constant tension and contradiction with one another?
Yes, as you look at the diagram above,
you can roughly tell which brain do you use most of the time, whether are you a logical person or not, an organized person or not etc.
While reading the book on 'The new drawing on the right side of the brain' as part of my readings, i realise how right brainer i am. It is true how i am not very good with words/verbally, not really good at sequencing such as doing which task first (may be overwhelmed at times because i may take everything at once instead of sorting it out properly), will only see things at the present moment, seeing things for what they simply are in all its awesome fascinating complexity, am not very good are analyzing and reasoning things. I can totally see how these flaws of mine falls in place because my R-mode always kicks in.
Though i have a better understanding of how my brain works, that causes me to do certain things and things in a certain way all these years, im thankful that God created me with both hemispheres- the left and right brain. Also thankful that in the recent years, im forced or rather put into situations that made me exercise more of my left brain. :)
Although in the recent years, with all the challenges and trials i faced, occasional thoughts of "if only i was as logically, able to crystalise well, better at managing things, be able to think more, not taking things as simple surface value etc.." (which are all left brain's doing), i realise how our God made me as such is perfect in His doing. There is no mistake. How he uses me to understand the limitations of our human brain, whether is it more left or more right, that we are flawed, never close to being perfect. Though striving to improve in things we are lacking of should never an excuse of how we are made, it made me depend more on God and realize how only He can mould me through His perfect ways.

I thank you Lord for being such a creative Creator, from how our brain functions to its characteristics. Our great God is the ONLY ONE who is without flaws and limitations (and maybe equally balanced on both hemisphere of his brain? :p)

Here is a free copy of the book that I'm reading so all my faithful readers can take a look at it too! :)
it also teaches how to draw ^^
