God is still working! :)

wooh! this good friday/easter season really brings bundle of joy&encouragement! :O first, kor told me that 2 of the youths received Christ into their hearts! i was really happy when i heard the news. i thank God that kor was given the privilege to sow the harvest. indeed, a new life was worth the joy! then jerry (shannon's friend) approach her to visit shalom because he wants to know about our God :) after that, i went to sohhan's FCBC cell group Good Friday event with jiayi & connie. i must say, though it was organise in a house setting, it was well done! the testimonies they shared were really encouraging & it proves to all that our God is alive & still working! :) girl A (forgot her name heh): she was a heavy smoker up till the point that she smokes 2-3 packs of cigarette per day. after knowing the Lord through this event a week ago, she prayed for strength to change & since then, she havent smoke a single stick for a week! :))) hermes: she was a rebellious, disobedient & playful girl. there was once when she quarreled with her parents & left the house to stay in her bf's house. while she was walking up the stairs, she accidentally slipped and fell down all the way till the bottom of the stairs. she was hospitalized, had numerous surgeries & countless nails on her chin/jaw. (till now, she still keeps it to show the truth of how God works in her life) she had a tube going through her mouth to her gullet & she had to put food through it to eat. many times she felt like vomiting but she couldnt open her mouth so she had to swallow it back. she was frustrated & angry that she refuse to eat her medicine & often flushes it down the toilet. she was also irritated when christians pray for her whenever they visits her. she thought that she could not recover. but God chose this event to change her. God soften her heart. after 2 years (i think), she prayed to God & seek for recovery. God healed her. she told us that she was suppose to have the nails stuck on her face for 6 yrs but she was able to take it out after 2 years & now she looks perfectly normal! (there were more details about her life & how God worked in soh & jonathan's life but im just summarizing it. hee) they way hermes behaves and speak really make me feel familiar. her actions, movements, bubbly-ness were really similiar to alicia kok. i really miss alicia.kok! also, soh's sister just accepted Jesus! :D  a new life & repented heart brings as much joy as a new born child!
